A Bridge to the Celestial Empire

On June 23, a final concert dedicated to the end of the 2025/2026 academic year at the Confucius Institute was held at the Belarusian State University of Foreign Languages (BSUFL). The celebration brought together partners of the Confucius Institute within its network, as well as teachers, students, and volunteers.

Elena Ignatovich, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs in the field of International Cooperation and Internationalization of Education, delivered a welcoming speech to those gathered. She emphasized the importance of international cooperation and highlighted the excellent results achieved during the past academic year. On behalf of Rector of BSUFL Natalia Lapteva and Chairperson of the Board of the Confucius Institute, Elena Ignatovich presented diplomas to Chinese language teachers in recognition of their immense contribution to promoting the Chinese language and culture.

Parting words were also addressed to the guests by Sheng Xuemei, Director of the Confucius Institute from the Chinese side, and Tatyana Demyanenko, Director from the Belarusian side.

During the event, special focus was placed on thanking the Confucius Institute's partners for their active cooperation and joint implementation of cultural and educational projects.

The Confucius Institute is not only about its teachers, but also about talented and enthusiastic students. Directors Sheng Xuemei and Tatyana Demyanenko presented diplomas to the institute's outstanding students who demonstrated excellent results in learning the Chinese language and immersing themselves in the culture of the Celestial Empire.

The volunteers who assisted in organizing the Institute's events were awarded.

The final concert became a true platform for intercultural dialogue, which was reflected in its vibrant creative program. The audience enjoyed to a variety of musical and poetic performances.

Особое внимание в ходе мероприятия было уделено выражению благодарности партнерам Института Конфуция за активное сотрудничество и совместную реализацию культурных и образовательных проектов.

Институт Конфуция — это не только преподаватели, но и талантливые, увлеченные слушатели. Директора Шэн Сюэмэй и Татьяна Демьяненко вручили дипломы выдающимся слушателям института, которые показали высокие результаты в изучении китайского языка и погружении в культуру Поднебесной.

Волонтеры, которые оказывали помощь в организации мероприятий Института, были награждены.

Итоговый концерт стал настоящей площадкой для межкультурного диалога, что отразилось в яркой творческой программе. Зрителей ждали разнообразные музыкальные и поэтические номера.

Во второй половине дня в Институте Конфуция прошел круглый стол «Институт Конфуция и партнеры: открываем Китай вместе», на котором партнеры Института Конфуция выступили с сообщениями о деятельности учреждений общего среднего образования по продвижению китайского языка и культуры.
