A Symphony of Beauty, Spirit and Talent
On 13 May, the final of the city-wide competition “Queen of Studenthood – 2026” took place at the Minsk City Palace of Culture. Representing BSUFL at this prestigious event was Darya Danisevich, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of English and winner of the university's own grace and artistry contest, “Miss BSUFL – 2026”.
The competition's theme – A Symphony of Beauty – was designed to capture the image of the modern Belarusian woman as a well-rounded individual: intelligent, creative and civically engaged.
Darya performed admirably across all stages. She delivered an energetic dance routine, made a strong impression in the catwalk segment, and moved the audience with her speech in the oratory competition, “The Melody of Time: The Voice of a Belarusian Girl”.
Preparing for “Queen of Studenthood” demanded full commitment and a significant investment of time. Darya later noted that the most memorable part of the experience was the series of workshops on public speaking and social media. Equally essential were the countless hours of catwalk rehearsals. She recalled spending up to ten hours a day perfecting their stride and dance numbers, with barely a moment’s pause.
Charitable initiatives are also a key part of such competitions, and the contestants all took part. “These moments brought us closer together as a team far more than the competitive side ever did,” Darya remarked.
For Darya Danisevich, taking part in “Queen of Studenthood – 2026” was not only a significant personal achievement, but also a valuable opportunity to represent her university at the city level. BSUFL is proud of Darya and wishes her every success in her future creative endeavours.
