School of Young Linguists
The School of Young Linguists (SYL) is a scientific and educational project of the BSUFL Council of Young Scientists (link). The first enrollment took place in 2023.
The goal of the SYL is to promote linguistics as a research field among students of general secondary and specialized secondary education institutions in the Republic of Belarus.
Students in grades 10 and 11 can participate in the SYL. To join the classes, you must register using an online form that opens in the fall of each academic year. The link to the form is distributed through educational authorities and institutions in the Republic of Belarus. The list of participants is finalized in October.
Participation is free. Classes are held online twice a month according to a set schedule. Each session lasts for two academic hours (40 minutes each) with a 10-minute break. Students who attend at least 70% of the classes are awarded a SYL certificate.
