School of German Language

Established on 1 October 1948, the School of German Language is one of the oldest units of the Belarusian State University of Foreign Languages, having existed since the university's founding.

Currently, the School has an enrollment of approximately 600 students across 2 bachelor's and 1 master's degree program:

  • Modern Foreign Languages (German and English)

○ Degree Awarded: Linguist. Teacher of German and English.

○ Duration: 4 years. Mode of Study: Full-time.

  • Digital Linguistics (German)

○ Degree Awarded: Linguist. Specialist in Information Technology.

○ Duration: 4 years. Mode of Study: Full-time.

  • Master's Program: Linguodidactics (Advanced Higher Education)

○ This program is offered to both Belarusian and international students.

○ Degree Awarded: Master.

○ Duration: 1 year. Mode of Study: Full-time.

The School's academic staff consists of 70 faculty members across three departments. Nearly half of the instructors hold a Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Sciences degree.
